I want to spend some more time on the sacral chakra again because I feel it is that important (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ You are working with natural opposing forces so do NOT take this lightly. Do NOT underestimate the polarity and strength of these forces. Meaning it can be extreme ends creating the conflict in the first place. Also do not underestimate its ability to be both; two sides of one coin. I am sure everyone has heard the phrase ‘the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. This conveys the concept that there are both intended and unintended consequences for every action. Toxic behaviors do not automatically implicate a terrible core person. Wrong choices do not automatically implicate ignorance. Our legal system even operates on serving justice based on the best interpretation of the ‘original intent’. We understand things can be complicated or just has too many unknown variables to form a theory. We have often look to the unknown with fear, causing our minds to slip into the black and white model of the world. I like to break things down and simplify so let us break down and simplify Our actions, moments, people, just everything, has both yin and yang properties night and day negative and positive charges exhale and inhale depending on this balance/struggle/ratio, we see the physical manifestation of that balance OOO! OOO! I just thought of a good example! The PH system in chemistry! We are semi-familiar with this right? See reality as it is, not as you want it to be, then build from there. Get rid of this ‘good’ or ‘bad’ archaic concept. And start thinking of it like the PH scale and you will start to notice its properties/characteristics more. This will start to chip away at false perceptions you might have made about each side, equipping you with better tools to handle reality. By the way, these are concepts that are far broader and do not give any definitive direction, it unfolds in your own life, specific to you. That is just how these things work. As we start to handle larger and larger amounts of data (literally and metaphorically), we are learning to organize it in a more operation and/or computing friendly ways. it is an ongoing process that evolves as we learn more, its messy and is not perfect, get over it. Sometimes this requires us to look at the previous framework and evaluate, then change how things are labeled or what category they fall under to better serve the process as a whole. Change is natural, but there is an art to it. If you exert more force upon it, the more of a reaction you will get from it. Say the example is this; you are looking to implement new business practices or just procedural changes. If you do not take into consideration that a change in one department will make changes throughout the ENTIRE business; you will have a rocky deployment putting stress on already weak points in the company. Cumulating a larger and more complex problem than when you started. Ooooooo! Another good example/another metaphor to further this would be planning and thinking in a very strict “cause and effect” mindset. ‘ This change in responsibilities directly takes it off one person’s shoulders and puts it on to another and should fix the problem of the first person not having enough time to do it.’ While logically and ‘on paper’ it seems like a good idea, there is neglect to how it will affect the whole body. When a different person takes on a different responsibility there is an adjustment period while they balance out their new responsibilities. If this includes any interactions outside of their own department, it changes each of those individual interactions for both parties. Having this strict “cause and effect” outlook also neglects the entire process of implementing the change, it only highlights a very specific section of the process. When looking at the data to evaluate if the change was successful or not, they usually pull from a sample of time that does not accurately portray the effects, ie. Not inclusive of an accurate time frame. I like the expression “nothing happens in a vacuum” because it gives credence to this concept of consequence’s ‘intended AND unintended’. Once you can fully understand the opposing forces in everything, you understand the 2 most basic natural components to anything, again Literally and metaphorically.
There is a yoga with Adrienne video to compliment another aspect of this chakra nicely at the button below.
Like, Share, ya know all the normal shit you do to bring attention to things you like or resonate with (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ Much Love Sacrament of communion, Honor one another (golden rule), Sefirah of Yesod; all apart of the concepts explored in the next chakra, the Sacral Chakra. Now that we have established our roots, its time to build on the previous knowledge as we travel upward. Think of each step as a filter, always going through one before the next. The sacral chakra takes our foundation and starts to build our own individuality through duality. We shift from tribe power focus to more independent and personal power. Our personal power of choice/creation/matter. When we start to ask ourselves "Where do we pull our power to make choices?" *(more to explore this question at the end) Fear is an extremely effective mode of motivation, but its longevity has proven to not stand the test of time. It leaves one feeling hollow, empty, void, and crumbling in on its own skeleton. We have seen so many examples of this in every facet of life. The fun dualism you learn with this chakra is your internal relationship (that is the internal monologue you got going on up there) reflects onto your relationships with others. Whether you like it or not; ‘as above, so below’. The core lesson is to Honor One Another, uniting both ends of the scale to achieve a better understand of your relationship with others, and most importantly yourself!! It also reflects our need for relationships with other people and our relationship with ourselves. Most of us have seen a meme or post with a similar message as this “you can tell a lot about a person by how they treat others”. Depending on your understanding of symbolic language and its depth, the knowledge gained can be small or great by just observing these more natural encounters (not consciously controlled and scripted) I feel Dr Caroline Myss puts it beautifully when she says, “We can more easily see the symbolic value of our relationships when we release our compulsion to judge what and who has value and instead focus on honoring the person and the task with which we are involved” (131 Myss). While we cannot control others and their actions, but we can control our reactions. For sake of imagery, newtons third law; we can manipulate and choose where to direct the equal or opposite reaction. As I have said before, healing is all about balancing. Its good to have personal power, but it can also be toxic if the scale swings too far one way. In the muddled knowledge of our time it can be difficult to even view a state of healthy personal power and maintaining a healthy ego. At our root chakra we learn to find power in our ‘tribe’ or our social groups, in the sacral chakra we must learn to find our Personal Power within personal balance. Power can be a dirty word, and no doubt we are not short of examples backing up this belief. But like money, it is only a tool used by people, and each person’s intent determines how it is manifested and used. The time is nigh for everyone to get real with their relationship to power; by simply observing and paying close attention to your thoughts and inner monologue when you bring up the idea of power. Work through the relationship like you were in therapy with it, because once you learn to understand its effects on you; it gives you the power (cause knowledge is power!) to know how and when you are being controlled by an external force. Judgement is not to be passed on tools, it is to be passed on the people and their intent to use these tools. On their own they are neither malignant or good, simply benign. The challenge for us it not to practice abstinence, but “to achieve sufficient internal strength to interact comfortably with physical power without negotiating away our spirits” (Myss 161).
Within this space your creativity also originates, and your intentions are formed. It is always in a constant state of evolution and self improvement. I am honestly quite surprised more people don’t explore these thoughts and processes naturally…. one of the many things that make me the weird child =P (and proud of it!) "Where do we pull our power to make choices?" *When you need to weigh pros and cons, contemplate to exercise your power of choice. Where do you go in your mind? What is the scene around you, the lighting, the feeling, the atmosphere? As you step up to your inner looking glass, what do you feel? Explore it, question it, and most importantly stay curious about it. * This feels important so i am going to say it again Explore it, question it, and most importantly stay curious about it. Like, Share, ya know all the normal shit you do to bring attention to things you like or resonate with (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ Much Love So lets start at the Root Chakra I love using the chakra system as a model because they coincide so nicely with the basic truths described in all religions, just in one form or another. As physics is just a model to understand the laws of nature, all these truths are a model to understand the laws of our emotional and spiritual ‘bodies’. But this can be an entirely different rabbit hole, so for today ill just leave it at that. This is a core like the earth’s core, the energy of this directly and indirectly moving each layer of the earth, making earth as we know it possible. See this https://www.nationalgeographic.org/encyclopedia/core/ Background on the Root Chakra The root chakra that is, also known as the tribal chakra//the sacrament of baptism// the Sefirah of Shekhinah// Mūlādhāra in sanskrit// your primal nature// also could be compared to the 1st level in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It is the most important Chakra as this is the Fundamental Chakra, the core if you will. If you want to know more about the specifics be my guest, there are several in depth or brief descriptions of this chakra. The primary fears are that of physical survival, abandonment, and loss of physical order The primary strengths are tribal/family identity, bonding, the support and loyalty that give one sense of safety and connection The scared truth associated with this concept is ‘All is One’. Why am I bringing this up when talking about healing from trauma? Because every healing (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) goes through a form of this process and unveiling of truths. It could be easy, or hard, take 1 week, or an entire lifetime. We use it to help guide us and also as a mirror to self-reflect in. This might look ENTIRELY different from person to person. When we talk about healing, we are also talking about balancing, taking what each chakra represents and sitting with it to see what it stirs up for each person individually. When you’ve been traumatized, you may have felt your safety or survival threatened. Fighting the despair and recovering from traumatic experiences reaches down to your primal instinct for survival and turns on the ‘flight or fight response’. In sticking with the shank analogy, this would be stabbing your Common Peroneal Nerve, taking away your ability to stand essentially. Taking time to mend these types of wounds may enable you to uncover some of the limiting beliefs that determine how you experience life, as well as some of the false Identities that you've confused with your core self. When you can recognize and observe these coping mechanisms, it is possible to realize that they are not who you are; you created them in response to what you were experiencing. Here are some examples of such limiting beliefs: "I'm not safe." "It's not a safe world." "It's not safe to... (see, speak, know... etc.)". The process of healing challenges us to retain self-beliefs that are for your highest good, and discard those that are not. None of us are strangers to family issues. The family is where we learn to love and deal with all types of people, thick and thin, at least that is the model given forth. To put it into perspective I want to use it in a more sociological standpoint about the community as a whole. If we step back and examine the body, the last time we had such a shaking of our foundation in the roots would be the great depression. Not just the economic impact, but the aftermath of our collective feelings and views. The last time our collective body turned on its ‘adrenal glands’ to fight for its survival. While the mindset adopted to survive collectively got us through what we were going through as a nation; there is always pros and cons. Now we are experiencing the downsides to this kind of mindset, living the truths of those who were unable to make it through. Whether its internal roots that have been damaged or the unrest of our collective roots being damaged, healing the wounds properly is a great place to start. Some Yoga with Adrienne to compliment this nicely at the button below. Like, Share, ya know all the normal shit you do to bring attention to things you like or resonate with (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ Much Love I want to force myself to talk about this. Because there is a strong and deep pull for me to share my experience and perspective so that others can find comfort or guidance in their healing process. Because it fucking sucks going through it, and half the time it feels like you are completely nuts! Hearing peoples experiences similar to mine gave me light in the darkest of days; the comfort of knowing you’re not alone can sometimes be that last burst of energy you need to carry on another day. Really if I were to break down my story, it would be a trip to read and probably take 2 years LOL. I’m going to break it down into smaller chunks and do a ‘series’ or ‘collection’ so i don’t sit here and write and entire book. So what I am going to do is provide windows, small examples that highlight my key point in a concise way. With that being said, I am not saying that these instances alone are the cause, nor am I condemning anyone for specific actions. A person is the sum of their actions and intentions and to cut out a scene very specifically, only provides a grain of sand to their beach. Therefor, providing only a ‘window’ into the world/mindset/reality of the person and situation. (This is my Standard Disclaimer 😉) Let’s start by building a basis for our understanding of trauma. What is Trauma? Psychology today defines Trauma as “The experience of severe psychological distress following any terrible or life-threatening event.” *Reference Link* When the subject of PTSD is brought up most peoples mind instantly goes to the soldiers returning from war. Which is a very real problem, don’t get me wrong, but it is on the more physical extreme end of the spectrum and includes one event. CPTSD stands for Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Described by ‘Braden Counseling’ as a; “mental health condition in which a person might experience intense PTSD symptoms that coincide with other mental issues. CPTSD occurs in people who have been subjected to ongoing traumatizing experiences.” *Reference Link* To give us a physical metaphor, we are going to describe it as a stab wound. Now I know its “graphic” but it gives me the flexibility of different environments and severity. So I’m rolling with it =P PTSD is like a very deep, quick, stab to a vital area of the body.
CPTSD is like repeated stab wounds to non-vital areas that can allow the person to bleed out over time. Sometimes the stab is with a clean sharp knife, sometimes it’s a three-pronged blade and the attacker twists it, and sometimes it’s a shallow seemingly nothing prick of a poison dart. Many have abandoned our ‘emotional bodies’ and tend to forget that these things have very real physical impacts on your brain and neural activity. We need to treat these traumas as an open wound and get serious about caring for it to heal properly. You would not get stabbed and then just pretend like it never happened, it would be ludicrous! Even if you did, that runs the risk of it healing improperly causing lasting and limiting effects, like a broken bone. It could turn septic and kill you. Exactly, you would treat it as necessary, cleaning and caring for the wound to minimize pain, damage, and scaring. The same mindset needs to be applied to mental and emotional ‘wounds’. Never underestimate the inter-connectivity of everything, those ripples travel far and wide in your psyche. When looking at and studying these things, one must remember it is just as much (if not more) complex as life itself, the variables are endless. Which is why… You are a collection of unique experiences that provides valuable insight and information to the human experience!!! For those of you who don’t know or haven’t seen it… This was our basement project and we are SUPER proud of 😊 Quick flashback… we bought this house and worked on it before moving in, so we were extremely motivated, its important I preface with that lol. The initial tear up and finishing the basement took us 3 months. But the little improvements and personal touches have just come with time 😊 What we did Tore out the panels to find they were nailed to 1x3's (knowing we were mounting things to the walls) We then decided to pull out that framing and build our own new frames with 2x4's Sealed the walls Rick put in the insulation Ran new romex to create new plugs and can lighting We definitely paid someone to do the dry wall :) cause fuck mudding that Spray painted the ceiling Primed and painted the new walls Got vinyl plank flooring installed Sanded and stained the existing trim Built our Tri-force entertainment center Before Pictures =) In Between Pictures! After Photos!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7f8tBtfd7w Taking care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, or however you want to put it; doesn’t always look like the ‘grind’ or the ‘struggle’. While it most definitely includes it, its not the entire picture. Sometimes it looks and feels like this yummy yoga practice; learning to be still and work on the foundation instead ‘pumping iron’. Like the Yin and the Yang, both aspects are necessary to achieve the total product and balance. Namaste 😊 Electrical disconnect, being outside -_- So yesterday my fiancé and I learned another fun homeowner lesson with our electrical 😊 It started with our lights were acting weird, like haunted house weird, in our bathroom. Then our internet went out (while trying to play fall guys!) and I noticed a tripped breaker. Didn’t think much of it because when I flipped the breaker it all seemed to be honky dory. Nope, we wake up the next morning and the lights are flickering while my fiancé was trying to get ready for work. Then we also notice our air conditioner wasn’t cooling the house off. (FML its super-hot and the end of Aug -_-). So we turn the air conditioner off and then on again, this brings to our attention that nothing in the kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge, Keurig) will work if we turn the AC off, even though it wasn’t cooling the house. WTF, considering we have above average electrical understanding, and we were up at 4am crying ‘what the actual fuck is going on’. We call his parents who are also just getting up with coffee in hand. My fiancé’s step dad is an electrical engineer and even he is stumped at the moment (understand this is 4am and none of us have seen the bottom of our coffee mugs). We tried to investigate but it was leaving us with a semi working kitchen, constantly resetting internet, basement plugs don’t work but the lights do, the lights in the bathroom wouldn’t stay on and felt like a strobe light party but the fucking plug worked! Needless to say, it was a hot mess morning LOL All the electricians in the area don’t open till 8am so we are stuck with our hot mess until we could get a hold of someone to come out. Even when we started calling people at 8 am, finding someone for that day was becoming an issue, and they were recommending we call the illuminating/electric utilities first to make sure it wasn’t a bad connection. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Could not speak to anyone on the phone as it was an automated service ticket system 😊 and only received a text that it was awaiting dispatch. After some bullshittery around 12:30 pm maybe the illuminating guy shows up and checks our meter and the power going in. Says everything’s good and we should check the main disconnect and make sure it has power. Okay, well, we thought we checked it because the only main breaker we have is in the basement. We come to learn from the electrician that was able to come out, that we are special 😊 cause of course we are. Most people only have one service disconnect, and its in the basement. We have two, one that we knew of in the basement, andddd one below the meter that is on a separate pole, that connects to our box underground. The breaker on that second disconnect, was fucking melted to the busbar and we only had one pole of power coming to the house (air conditioner takes both poles of the power, so that’s why it went 1st). We are lucky it just melted and didn’t catch on fire -_- So we take this one and add it the homeowner lessons we have learned file XD The Poison Illusion The Poison Illusion The illusion of controlled Order over Chaos The idea that man is destined to control and rule over Chaos is the downfall of us all Let it go The chaos needs to be unrestrained The restrictions, cages, constraints, manipulation, and brute force of man-made laws Will kill us all Trust the Process Simply let it go Chaos will take over But we are here to humbly observe, learn and follow the natural order within the chaos. They are not separate... Yin and Yang Chaos and Order Push and Pull There is no "Good" and there is no "Evil" only the Noun and It’s Shadow Accept and Understand They are 2 sides to 1 coin They are Both as We are Both transcend Only then can we move forward Accept the present for what it is not what we think it should be transcend only then can we Our illusion of man-made order will only tantalize chaos to prove it's Omnipotence We are the swinging pendulum push to the right only to go left No Left without Right Be still and know the natural order The Yin possesses no greater power than The Yang Nor is The Yin better or worse than The Yang They recognize each other as equals Knowing each other’s energy and place Circling each other with the 3rd force to propel us forward As a fan moves air Warning of Reckoning Capricorn has settled in No longer will Lies hide with Truths. the weight of your intent will be measured, for judgement is coming to those who know, this is a sign of relief. There is no place like home *click* There is no place like home *click* There is no place like home *click* The pendulum is returning Wait and see it's beauty the coup has begun the veil is being torn Do You? Do you dream as deep as me? Of never-ending beautiful complexities Do you plunge into the depth of your psyche like me? Just to see where it bobs and weaves We all have worlds within worlds But most undoubtably we all hold the key To survivability But the thriving key is bouncing up and down in front of me Too quick to catch And too illusive to grasp So I shall sit here silently Until it no longer amuses thee No longer will you have control of me or humanity We will be free from your hypocrisies I am Human Listen to the sounds of our Generation We all want to be different We want to stand out Become successful in life We’re sick of war And diversity We all want to live In somewhat harmony So I say I am not a Republican I am not a Democrat I am Human And let it be known to the world That we are all the same So stop acting like we aren’t Different is good Diversity it wrong. Listen to the sounds of our Generation I am not a Republican I am not a Democrat I am Human |
