What do you think of when you see Yoga?

Both of these 20 min flows do a really good job of leaning into the idea of not focusing so much on the look of your form but listening to your body and meeting it where it’s at.
When you see more ‘show off’ poses most people immediately think “I could never do that” “I’m not that flexible” and the long line of excuses I’ve heard everyone rattle off.
What you should be thinking when you see that is “Damn, they have to do so much more work to achieve the same feeling I have just leaning to the side!”.
The goal is not to crank and twist your body into these poses.
The goal is to gently guide your muscles and organs to stretch and strength in small mindful ways.
After you make a commitment to doing yoga on a regular basis (whatever that means for you), even if you get absolutely nothing physically out of it that you want, you will at minimum gain a sense of awareness for your body and notice and appreciate the small but significant.

This blog came out of my life experiences and personal goals to always be a work in progress, a forever student of wisdom, and a better understanding.
So this is my effort to share my  findings and shine light on the grueling journey.
Up and  Downs, Silly and Serious.
Long term goal is pure Freedom, Wisdom, and Joy; whatever that turns out to look like for me.
So i guess i want to document my endeavor to see what it ends up looking like.
